Aged Bronze Elmore Knob Set (Concealed Mortice)
A concealed Aged Bronze Elmore knob set, reproduced from a classic Regency. As with the original, this door knob is cleverly designed and screwed to the door with a concealed baseplate, finished with an elegant threaded brass rose that conceals all fixing screws.
The simplicity of this design makes the door handle suitable for many property types. Our unlaquered brass finish accentuates the small amount of detail to the knob and is highly polished for an elegant finish. These knobs will tarnish in time as part of the ageing process but can be polished time and time again if you want to achieve a high sheen.
Suitable for Mortice only. Not for use with Rim locks. They have 8mm x 140mm spindle to take adjustment for various door thickness. For best results the centre of the knob should be a minimum of 3″ from the edge of the door. Heavy Duty latches 4″ or 5″ are recommended for maximum efficiency. Supplied with necessary fixing screws.

From The Anvil
Owning a period property can be very rewarding, but restoration and repair can often be a daunting challenge. Maintaining the feel of authenticity you originally fell in love with by using modern, mass produced fixtures and fittings is almost impossible. All ‘From The Anvil’ items are hand-forged by master craftsmen using traditional English blacksmithing methods. Designs are based on timeless classics, but hand-forging means that no two pieces are identical, each one a unique yet functional work of art that will only enhance it’s setting.
